On this day in 2017, I shared with you a rather lovely stroll in Birmingham. At the time I was recovering from my very first squares, I never envisaged I’d still be squaring four years later. You can enjoy the full walk here.
In case you hadn’t guessed October is Past Squares. A month to share memories, personal favourites, leftover squares and also have fun with themes you have always wanted to try.
Incredible walk you had there. Another place I would love to see.

It is a wonderful part of the country 🙂 and of course as PA is so narrow at that point you can easily pop across to Ohio and New York

It’s hard to beat a walk on a canal towpath. It’s so relaxing and there’s almost always things of interest around them or on the water. Here’s mine today: https://grahamsisland.com/2021/10/03/surfing-looks-easy/

The only thing that beats it is travelling even more slowly by being on a narrow boat!

I’ve never been on a canal boat in England, but I have done a bit in France and that’s exactly what I liked about it. The speed limit was 5 mph so I had to slow down and relax into the leisurely progress.

ah the French ones are large compared to the English ones, but the pace of life is the same – as you say perfect leisurely progress

We volunteered all day at a nearby farms’ harvest festival, with spotty internet and 4G, so I get it, Becky. Had a blast and was still able to comment on posts…barely 🙂
