I remember the title had to be changed to Boss Cat when it was shown on the BBC because Top Cat was a brand of cat food and they couldn’t be suspected of advertising! (I did Google this in case I was imagining it, and it is true).

They are from an American cartoon called Top Cat, think it first came out in the early 1960s. I loved it as a child!
