We’ll probably end up just driving around as you have to prebook everything and I am reluctant to do so until I know what the weather is like! I have however booked to visit Margery Fish’s garden at East Lambrook Manor. Which could be dangerous as it has a nursery.
Oh, a great photo! In a previous life, my ex-parents-in-law lived in Glastonbury, and many happy hours were spend scrambling up that Tor with two energetic toddlers – who are both now in their forties….
I know what you feel, though. I’m leaving Tuesday for a driving trip back to Illinois to visit friends and I contemplated just explaining and going dark, but instead I have post scheduled for the next week. 🙂
Thanks. I’m looking forward to it but working like mad to clean and get everything else done before I leave. I know in two weeks it will be in dire need of cleaning again (not really my husband’s thing even when not working and cycling) but at least it will be less dirty/messy than if I hadn’t clean. 🙂
PS really hope to see you later. I will be leaving hairdressers around 3:30pm (8:30am your time) and it is about a 40minute drive back so fingers crossed!
What a view 🥰

thank you so much – was struggling to capture it as it is actually quite a distance from Mum’s, but got there in the end!

What a sunset and a view. We’re off to stay near Wells for a week. Any tips on what to see in the area, other than the cathedral and Bishop’s Gardens?

ooh how marvellous. Assuming you have looked up all the gardens?
So other thoughts there’s the steam railway not that far away and of course Stourhead and Bath are easy to get to.

Been to Stourhead and Bath, so looking for other places.

Longleat, Glastonbury, Wookey Hole – have to admit we tend just to chat to Mum or go to gardens and garden centres!!!

hee hee maybe i should send my Mum there before you go and then they won’t have any plants left so you will be safe!!
Let me know the dates as you never know we might be in the area.

I’m thinking, ‘you can’t see Glastonbury Tor from Winchester.’ You must be out and about then. Lovely sunset regardless.

I climbed Glastonbury Tor in 1979. It must be great to be able to see it from your own garden.

Lovely end to a day, Becky. I see you can’t resist blogging even when I thought you were sort of taking a break. 🙂 I don’t mind though.
