Thursday Special – Mirroring

I’ve been voting for a couple of weeks now, but thought it about time I actually participated! So here goes, here’s my Thursday Special.

The moment I spotted this week’s theme I thought of my Portuguese Black Winged Stilts, not only because of the reflections but also because of the way they seem to mirror each other’s movements. Makes me think of ‘follow my leader’ sometimes! I cannot resist photographing them when we are in Portugal, and now have a ridiculous number of photos of them. I think it’s the symmetry I love, or perhaps it is their incredibly long legs. Thank goodness though for photo challenges as otherwise they’d never escape my hard drive!
