Great article, Becky. I must admit that I enjoy walking in winter much more than walking in summer although it’s the heat that drives my preference. I am learning to get up earlier than usual to get out and about before it gets hot and when the season changes, I’ll remember to stop wimping out and go walking early – when it’s still ‘cold’ ❄️🤣

I prefer winter walks too, and am impressed by your new early morning approach. I am though giggling at your cold!!!

Yeah, it doesn’t get that cold here. We’re on the cusp of saying goodbye to Spring and yesterday it was 16C when I left the house just after sunrise – beautiful 🥰 – and I’m lapping this up while it lasts because it won’t be long before our overnight minimum temp will be a mere 25C or so.

So so different to our temps! Enjoy the last of spring xx

I used to walk in snowy, cold weather all the time in Illinois and loved it. 🙂 We rarely have a true rainy day here, so I enjoyed the photo of yours. I’m rather late to the walking party but here’s my entry: https://sustainabilitea.wordpress.com/2022/11/23/what-i-saw-while-walkingquintessential-autumn/

Good on you for continuing to walk in the rain. I bet it does feel exciting and refreshing. I love being out in stormy weather, especially the wind.
Here is my entry for the day.

I can recall running around a playground on windy days with arms out wide, maybe I should try doing the same as an adult!

Good for you! I tend to avoid walking on rainy days. I will have to change my thinking. 😊

Oh, you are so brave! Keep it up, if you can. Our weather so far has been not so bad for November, we had a few rainy days , but also nice and sunny ones.
This is mine from one of my forest walks near our home:

Beautiful walkway, but maybe a bit muddy after the rain. I don´t mind walking in the rain.

Your photo does look a tad gloomy! Good for you getting out and about in it. I liked the article you linked to. Not sure about the walking backwards though! Here’s mine today: https://grahamsisland.com/2022/11/23/halemaumau-trail-and-crater/

Becky, Good for you to walk in all kinds of weather. I have some autumn colours to share. The leaves are mostly gone now and it’s a nice day here for a walk.
