Were ALL the ewes wearing bells or just this one? I was wondering if maybe she is a bellwether and the bell is so the people who own the flock can easily spot her.
A sure sign that spring is there with lambs running around. Those bells fascinated us and the ones the guard dogs wore. The bells on the dogs always looked so large and heavy. Lovely images of spring.
These ones were immediately opposite our cottage in Alentejo. Think there were a couple of births whilst we were there as sure there were more than when we arrived!
