Now our gorgeous granddaughter has returned home, life is feeling a little bit less colourful. Or maybe it is because if I look out of the window it is another grey day, and if I look at the news life feels even greyer. So yesterday to cheer myself up I decorated the house, and today I’m catching up with blogging friends. I’ve even updated my wallpaper, which gives me a great excuse to join in with a few fabulous challenges.

Shared as part of Jude’s kaleidoscopeΒ of colour, Cee and Marsha’s Public Art and Clare’s Share your Desktop. ooh and also Terri’s Sunday Stills π
Hi Becky B. Merry Christmas. Congratulations, I’ve featured you in today’s PPAC post. Have a great holiday!

That’s a beauty. We’re booked to see the lights at the Eden project on Monday, if we’re not in lockdown again. It’s always cheery to see illuminations at this time of year. Have a good one Becky, and let’s hope for better times ahead.

ah well enjoy next Monday. And yes hairdressers okay, only 2 staff in as they are doing extra early slots this week so felt safe.
Have also just booked flights to return to Portugal, so life is looking good π

So glad not just me – although I did have an excuse last week. Saturday thru Tuesday was seeing Mum, and then Tuesday thru Friday we had our granddaughter and her mum here π

It must have been lovely seeing your Mum and your Granddaughter. Our eldest daughter arrives tomorrow, and our middle daughter and her husband arrive on Thursday. There won’t be much blogging going on while they’re here.

oh my certainly not, how fabulous to have them π you all must be so excited.

Very, just a little sad our youngest can’t make it. She will be here in February though, so that (sort of) makes up for it.

Hope she is okay. February will be here before any of us know it.
Is she working or caught up in a lockdown somewhere?
LikeLike
A bit of both. Our govt is trying to NOT enforce any lockdowns, thankfully, but she is just concerned if she does come, she might not get back. It’s a bit sad, but we’ll FaceTime (big time) on Saturday.

Damp and foggy here in Cheshire today, Becky, but there’s always something to add a much needed dash of colour. News notwithstanding (pah!) π

will try to, although watching it closely because of our hope to return. So complicated now with the tests as Portugal are rejecting so many British ones.

I didn’t know that. Hopefully it won’t affect our return but it does feel all very much in the lap of the Gods!

I know, it really does at moment
Just make sure your tests for the return to Portugal are performed by a health professional or trained person. Self tests are not allowed. Hundreds have been caught out the past few weeks. We’ll probably going to go for a PCR rather than lateral flow as there seem to be less problems with those.
LikeLike
We need a PCR in the UK and as we leave again within 72 hours that should cover us for Portugal.

Fingers crossed as you certainly don’t want the fines, extra tests and police delays at Faro.

Thanks, felt like an enormous effort as booked at same time the pre departure PCR test. So many test centres don’t actually do the tests, they just supervise and that’s not sufficient for Portugal.

But you found somewhere not too far away?

Yes the area seems awash with them which is part of the problem filtering through them all.

Beautiful colors that always makes me smile! That’s so amazing how the gardens light up the building. Definitely a kaleidoscope of colors! I hope the sun pops out for you soon. We are expecting rain which means very cloudy weather heading into next week. I’ll enjoy the sunshine today! ππ€οΈ
