Yes, welcome rain but we just missed it here in Cabanas and had sun but cold wind. Back to Spain and then UK this week and getting prepared for the shock of more cold!
Yikes that is cold, you are so right though about the need for rain. We need so much more here. Think it is only tourists now who want the blue skies, the locals are all wanting rain

Only had half days – which is fabulous for us but not so good for the countryside. Need far far more grey days!

Even in Portugal? Surely it’s rarely grey there, even in winter? But this looks very like our view this morning, down by the river.

There can be a few between November and February, and they have snow in the north! The good thing is, at least in the Algarve, they don’t last long
