I had such great plans for a second gallery last weekend, but then we had unexpected visitors. and I forgot about it! However I must admit I got such joy from their visit, that I don’t feel guilty at all by the gallery delay. Today though I thought I’d squeeze in a few hours this afternoon to curate the 60+ Past Squares, and I am hoping you will all have time over the weekend to visit at least one square in every room. Don’t forget to make yourself a drink or cut a slice of cake before you start looking round the gallery. First though my bonus square of the day, the original photograph is one of my favourites.

This shot brings back such happy memories of when I took it. The challenge was working out how not to fall into the puddles, whilst also getting the camera close enough to capture the reflections! Thank goodness it was very early in the morning, so there were few people around at the time, I must have looked strange.
Once you can draw your eye away from the sunrise, I thought you could might like to meet some brand new squarers and as well as catch up with those who just missed the first gallery.
- It is never too late to join the magical square community, and you will find we are a comely group
- Sharing moving memories as well as historical tales and adventures that didn’t quite happen.
- A square crop is a matter of judgement, and there are always a few that don’t quite make the final cut but we’re in the pink for those that do make it in time.
- Squares can be found everywhere this month; in the backyard, in our very pink archives and our reflective past
- No wonder we are all feeling squarish and full of imaginative moments; our square time has begun.
Wasn’t that a great room to begin your squares explorations. A larger room than usual but there were so many new squarers to highlight as well as squarers who just missed the last gallery. Now let’s take a second look at some regular squarers in our second room.
- With these fabulous squarers you can get some perspective and ponder reflections, and even square the circle
- And whether winter is approaching or summer if you’re in the south, there is plenty of motivating morning light
- Which means we can positively cross that bridge and not worry about life on a string, after all there is nowhere but up with squares!
Isn’t this all fabulous! I hope you were as inspired by the second room as much as the first, and there are so many more brilliant squarers to come in our third room. So do keep exploring, even if it is just to visit one squarer per room.
- Life, like squares, is not always smooth but sometimes the backdrops are magical, and other times as blue as can be.
- Looking back there are moments we can definitely find fun, inspiring and full of spins as well as beautiful.
- Perhaps that because we are taking Mary Poppins’ advice and being practically perfect with spoonfuls and elements of fun.
- By the way I am in so awe of those of you already finding bonuses I thought I’d squeeze in the original rectangle to celebrate!

- I am honoured you have been sharing your memories and adorable family portraits as well as your blue recollections
- So do hope everyone stop for a moment in their tracks to enjoy some great poses before taking a walk on the wild side.
- If you can make the time not only will you discover beauty but you may even get goosebumps!
Congratulations, you have now explored more than half the room. It is a perfect time (if you haven’t already) to pour yourself a second cup of coffee or maybe even pour a little glass of something before you explore the fifth.
- It is a room to look forward to the future, and enjoy many more lines as well as beautiful skies.
- There is plenty of travel and history and therapeutic views, and I am delighted to say even music to enjoy.
- There are also stunning bouquets and autumnal delights, not forgetting of course some essential ingredients some of which are a bit twisted!
Wow it is a big gallery isn’t it! You’ll probably be delighted to learn it is now time to explore our final room, it also contains many fabulous Past Squares. So I do hope you can make the time to visit at least one Squarer in this final room, and the other rooms this weekend.
- It is the perfect weekend to look up and to be square, or may you would prefer circular as you make your way home.
- There is pink stillness to enjoy if you take the time to go round the corner and stroll through the conservatory.
- There are also fabulous posts to read at sunset and even palms to be read, so try and spare a moment and discover an ancestor or two with me.
I have had so much fun curating this gallery. How have you got on exploring it? Do let me know if you met any new squarers, or if you think there are any squarers I have missed. Your comments keep me energised!
Fabulous Becky, I love how you weave your magic of words and tell a story with these posts. Thanks again for sharing our posts this way.

The words seemed to flow with titles yesterday, doesn’t always happen! I think though the huge breakfast of Belgian Waffles earlier had me on a sugar high!

Belgian Waffles…..that would do it!! What do they put on Belgian Waffles?

well my friend was sensible and went for the fruit compote. I on the other hand decided to go all out and mixed in a bit of Canadian . . . . . . . bacon and maple syrup!

Yes the only way. Fruit….breakfast!!! Unless it was an all nighter. still awake then the the only fruit probably would be champagne 😂😂

thanks – I did feel a bit syrupy though by the end! We nearly went for the full, but it was the waffles that led us astray.

Wow, a gorgeous shot! Where are you headed (or did I miss that while skimming comments?) Safe travels and have a wonderful time. I’m longing to head to France but with my mom not doing so well, it wouldn’t be in the cards anyway at this time.

That sunrise with the reflections is stunning. That really ought to be printed out and hung on a wall. I shall try and visit some of the rooms this weekend when the rain arrives! Before that I need to get out in the garden and do some cutting down. Have a lovely weekend Becky. Mum gone home now?

You’re right, I’m so bad at printing them though. Maybe I’ll get organised this winter.
And thanks you too. Gardening sounds perfect plan before rains appear. I’m packing!

I think our boosters are due at the end of the month. Personally I’d rather people elsewhere in the world got their first and second jabs before me. Over 80s and vulnerable people should have a booster, but I’m not sure it should apply to over 50s.
