On this day in 2015 I shared with you a rather fabulous stroll beside Lake Erie. You could jump in the water here and swim to Canada, a few brave persons have done so in the past.

Not me though! I just enjoyed the Pennsylvanian shoreline, you can read about my walk here. Whilst I have your attention perhaps I can persuade you to share a past square too. There are multiple ways you can Square this month including;
- Sharing on this day moments from previous posts as well as favourite squares and leftover squares from a previous theme
- Re-posting previous square posts which didn’t get much attention when they first appeared
- Having fun with the word ‘past’ by sharing squares of history and heritage, and that includes past holidays!
- Taking brand new photographs that would have been perfect for a previous theme
- Or if you have only recently discovered squares why not delight us with themes you missed. I have listed all previous themes in this square

I’ll stick to the shoreline also!

We lived near Lake Erie in Ohio. Wonderful drinking water once it was treated. 🙂 I like your lone, slightly bent from the wind, tree.

oh how fabulous to have lived so close – it was a bit of a drive for us from Pittsburgh!

I don’t know if Lake Erie is as cold as Lake Superior 32.4°F / 0.2°C, but I sure would not want to swim in it. I adore your photos Becky.
BTW, Lake Erie average water temp is 32.4°F / 0.2°C – they are exactly the same. COLD. Those are winter temps by the way.

I think most of them swam in the summer months, but even so . . . . . . .

Pretty sure I wouldn’t be one of those jumping in and swimming (to anywhere) even in the summer months 😂 but I would relish lounging by that tree and enjoying the view.

It’s great that you are sharing photos from past posts especially those that didn’t get much attention back in the day. it looks like a lovely place to be. The mystery plant btw is Pokeweed or pokeberry (Phytolacca americana), but you probably know that now.

I bet it would be a bit chilly in that water right now! Here’s mine today, also a water view: https://grahamsisland.com/2021/10/12/abstracts-light-on-the-ocean-2/

Incredibly chilly – Cee looked it up for me, and I think probably the same in summer!

Swimming to Canada – it could be the title for a novel. What a fabulous thing though to live beside an inland sea.
