I know I have used the title before in this challenge, but it is the very first time I have used a title twice. I thought this title is even more perfect for this square than the last time I used it. This is a Mute Swan (Cygnus olor) and they are such a graceful and elegant bird, well at least when they are when on the water maybe not so much at take off or when on land!

Only a few days left of Squares, where has the month gone? I am looking forward to catching up with all the comments and pingbacks on my return home. I have tried to stay on top of them whilst I was away as I love squares and talking to you so much. However I am sure I have missed one or two, and of course there are all of today’s too, which is also another way of me saying there’s still plenty of time this week to join us!
So if you have not already squared or have only squared once or twice this month, why not join us today. All that I ask is that your image has 4 equal sides, and that it reflects the theme of bright. Together, with the tagΒ BrightSquare, we can support each other and shine bright;
sparkling, polished, shining, clever, cheerful, colourful, astute, brilliant, sunny, glorious, translucent, distinct and clear
Nice photo. Swans really are such majestic birds. Here’s mine today: https://grahamsisland.com/2021/04/27/full-moon-4/

A perfect Swan image. One flew overhead the other day as I was driving home. They look huge in the air!

Even when you meet swans face to face, they seem more mythical than real. Lovely photo, Becky. Bluebells from me:

sometimes – once was on a narrow boat and one put its head through the side hatch as it could smell toast. I would describe that one as terrifying rather than mythical!!

That sounds most alarming, Becky. And now you mention it, I was once ‘bitten’ by a swan, when it failed to differentiate my five-year old hand from a piece of bread it had decided I was holding.

It was very alarming as I wanted to get from one end to the other – in the end I got off the narrow boat and walked along the path!!!!
Yikes though on your hand, that would have been scary

It was a bit painful too, in a raspy sort of way, though don’t remember needing plasters. I do remember feeling pretty cross.

Not surprised you were cross. You were being lovely and it was being very greedy and horrid.
