I am also feeling bright as this afternoon I’m receiving my first vaccine. Finally old enough, it is so exciting! However as positive as a vaccine is, it does raise the slight possibility I’ll be offline later. All being well though I won’t react and so looking forward to catching up with all your lovely comments and fabulous pingbacks later.
Although I’ll probably should mention I will be offline for part of tomorrow too. I’ll explain why in the morning, it is an even better excuse than today’s vaccine!
Hi Becky, Best of luck with your vaccine. I was only mildly affected by the second shot except for a sore arm. Take care of yourself. 🙂

thanks Marsha. Looks like I have survived the first with flying colours – have to wait until July for the second!

Yay! I’m glad you made it! That’s such a long wait. I wonder if it is easier if you wait a longer time in between? I waited a month in between #1 and #2.

We have no choice everyone now has to wait 10 to 12 weeks here, so they can get more people to have at least one jab.

That makes sense. Are the people giving the shots volunteers? Here in Prescott when I got my shot everyone was a volunteer – doctors, nurses.

Varies from centre to centre – some places all volunteers, others paid staff. I went to a local pharmacy so all paid there

The world is well on its way it sounds like. My son says we will be wearing masks for the next three years. Others say permanently. The number of flu cases was way down this past year, at least in the US. 🙂

Well bonus of course is that continued mask wearing will keep those flu figures down ;-D

I’m getting used to my homemade mask, but I can’t tolerate the cheap paper ones. I can’t breathe and they get in my eyes. 🙂

I am not great with needle and thread, and so we’ve paid quite a bit for some of ours. Home made and good bought ones make such a difference

I’m not either, but my friend, Sally, who dies everything made it and gave one to Vince and me both. I wear them both. He doesn’t mind the funky ones. 🙂

What a lovely scene. Good to hear the jab went well, you must be such a youngster! Birthday tomorrow maybe? 🙄

Thanks Jude, and I know so very young – been cursing it for weeks because of the jab categories!!!! MrB gets his second on Friday.
And maybe . . . . .. you’ll have to wait until tomorrow though to be sure about whether to bring cake 😉

Glad to know that you got your first dose. My parents received both doses in around a month’s time. But I don’t know when my turn will come.
Still not senior enough I’m yet 🙂
