Gorgeous. I love this time of year. The birds seem to be everywhere. My picture features one of my favourite spring blooms. A camellia. ❤️ https://talesbeforebedtime.co.uk/2021/04/15/beautiful-blooming-camellia-another-brightsquare-challenge/

He or she looks so stolid and valiant and I like the branches too. I vote for the desktop. I always use the boring old mountain or sand dune or whatever it is, but my main desire is to be able to find my files! Mine is here for today – looking at it the bluebell and dandelion leaves are really the bright bits, not the flower: https://susanrushton.net/2021/04/15/pink-primrose/

A real cutie! They´re singing everywhere around here at the moment, along with the Blackbirds and the Red Robins. 🙂

Hi Becky, Your bird is so adorable, He could make your desktop a happy place. But so could your giant lamp. It is so interesting to see how many different ideas of bright that people can come up with. 60 people (approx.) time 30 days. 1,800 ideas. Wow. It boggles the mind and each one is so interesting. No wonder people love squares.

I know, and I’m sure that was conservative. I love your post today about education including the multi-million dollar building with a complete lack of bathrooms. Other than COVID, the one thing that will close a school immediately is if something goes wrong with the bathrooms. Poof – no more kids, teachers, secretaries – everyone goes home.

I’ve just discovered another App on my phone called Merlin! It identifies birds and you can hear their calls too! Very accurate! So, I’m sitting on my porch with my morning cuppa and watchin’ those birds! Cady

I haven’t seen a chaffinch for ages. In fact I reckon there are none in our part of Wenlock. Am sending you spring portraits of your teasels’ parent.

It is really sad how they are disappearing – we had a flock mid winter but haven’t seen one for days now

I will tell them. I will also tell them that as their adopted ones are doing so well in Winchester, some family planning may now be order here in Shropshire 🙂

One of the European birds I miss in Canada. Here’s my bright square for today:

I think we will be missing them here soon, their numbers have fallen dramatically in recent years 😦

I suspect that is happening in lots of places. In the 12 years we’ve lived here there’s been a noticeable change in bird species, especially the summer species.
