It’s never seen the light of day until today this shot. One of those where I had an idea in my head, which I wasn’t able to articulate to myself let alone the camera.

However I couldn’t delete it, and now thanks to Jude’s May and Debbie’s One Word challenges I have found a home for it. They are not the well defined shadows nor abstracts I suspect Jude is looking for today, however they bring back very happy memories of a great walk and somewhere I’d love to be today.

  4. It is like the good old days of taking photos then eagerly waiting to pick them up. The big question after was where are all my photos? Most were captured with thought and my imagination than using my finger to push the camera button. Good conversation starter 🙂

  5. Well, even if it didn’t work out exactly the way you hoped – and let’s face it, a lot of photos don’t – it still works because it reminds you of a special time.

  7. Funnily enough, I just commented on someone else’s post that would shouldn’t readily discard images that we might class as unsuccessful. True here! I can see three main areas where you might have focussed and you’ve been generous in sharing focus between all three 🙂 🙂 🙂
    I often have a similar issue as I’m trying to take photos for many different reasons – fun, memories, blog, artistic shots, practice technique, …. It’s a wonder anything works!!

    1. oh thank you Debbie, so reassuring to hear this from you. I can still recall how excited I was when I stopped to try and capture the idea in my head, and then being so disappointed with the outcome. However when MrB asked me what I was trying to do I just couldn’t articulate it so no wonder the camera was confused!! Still as you say it somehow works 🙂

  9. Funny how some images stay with you, even when they’re not exactly what you wanted. It’s a moment in time and a feeling, isn’t it? I haven’t seen Jude’s yet today. Much later I suspect, but I’ll get there. 🙂 🙂

      1. Haha! Literally five minutes beforehand, when One of The Men (of course) had started to fire up the BBQ, the Heavens opened. Luckily, there was space for us to mill about until the rain stopped, and all was good. Hope your venison casserole didn’t disappoint either.
