Square blackbird

I know it is another birding squares prequel but if you saw my archives you’d understand why! Plus watching birds is a fabulous way to pass the time, just check out this great post by Denzil specially if you are at home with the family and bird watching.

  1. Excellent photo and it is a great way to pass the time of day. We used to love being in our motorhome near bush as we had a clear view of them and they weren’t scared off by us, via tinted windows.

    1. Must admit this was taken down the road, but yes our garden big enough for lots of specimens. Plus it’s mostly wild so a bit of a haven for wildlife ☺️

      1. Found a few πŸ™‚ I hope you have survival rations Becky. Try not to get into too much trouble xxx Telling me to self isolate is a waste of time πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

    1. I had the same feeling. Oh well, from tomorrow midnight all of NZ is in shutdown. Might have a bit more time πŸ™‚ Luckily we are still able to go for walks though only with people you live with.

      1. Once you start to delve into archives, you’ll start to find lots of tops I’m sure. I’ve suggested a few things to Jude below, but other ideas include looking in pantry and wardrobe, surprising number of tops in both!

    2. I have lots and lots of squares!

However it did take a while to find them initially. Try looking at your fabulous tree archives as am sure you have lots of crowns in there, and maybe in plants think coverings and heads. After that try thinking great views for that ‘on top of the world’ feeling xxx

      1. Must admit I’m struggling with the ‘on top of the world’ concept at the moment. But I did find some tops whilst walking in the lanes yesterday.

      2. Indeed. These creatures do not respond to my instructions at all! On a positive note I have found some top images in the archives – in my opinion. You may well beg to differ!
