Hi everyone just a quick reminder that squares is not taking place this month but in October. I hope though you still have a fabulous September. I probably won’t have time to enjoy tea with you and Polly as September is event more chaotic than the summer has been. There are the ten days of Heritage Open Days, a wedding in Wales, a trip to Scotland, multiple birthdays including MrB’s and then there is life which is pretty complicated at the moment. I will pop in occasionally though to say hi to you, so Sukey please don’t take the kettle off completely! And of course I will be here in a fortnight when I will reveal the theme for October squares.

  4. I never really understood that rhyme so |I had to look it up. Apparently it came from a father who had 5 children, two of which were girls, and to get rid of their brothers so they could play ‘house’ they’d pretend to have a tea party. Hence the toy kettle, and Sukey taking it off once the brothers went away!
