There are many roses without scent, but they are still beautiful flowers. I do prefer the scented varieties though. And another hint… red? Surely not as that doesn’t match up with your previous hints. Beauty? Too general. Roses? Too niche. Sigh… I suppose I am going to have to wait.
This is pretty much the normal temperature for summer but we haven’t had rain for so long. I can’t remember when it last rained. Sometime in November I think.

Thanks for that – it does make sense I suppose, but I’m glad they didn’t all have their scent ‘cultivated’ out of them!

Some of the newly “bred” flowers seem to have no scent (at least to humans) at all. I love my orchids, but they are also scentless.
