Hee hee, I knew someone would ask π The front is very plain but I do have a shot somewhere, or maybe I’ll nip across and take one just for you. Watch this space βΊοΈ
You were with me when I photographed this so was thinking of you when I posted it this morning π
Glad drinks was fun. Our friends are from east London via Germany and now Ireland!
It was about an hour from the coast. We were there for about a month. We have also visited Lisbon and Porto, both wonderful cities to explore. Porto was a favourite between the two.
How fabulous π yes I love Porto too but must admit I prefer Lisbon. I think because we rarely hit the tourist spots now in Lisbon and so can get away from the crowds. However if a friend could only go to one, I’d probably say Porto!
So there must be a pic of the front here somewhere? Can you post a link please nicely π

I thought they are taking over your challenges there for awhile. Portugal is a lovely country. Been there several times on pilgrimage.

Yes….. it’s at the end of their grand avenue, and behind the gates you can see is a special chapel.

Oh wow! Lovely…Looks very homely – no tall tower like in the usual churches…

Very few have tall towers here. I think it must be the Moorish influence, as many Portuguese churches are on the site of temples.

We loved our time housesitting in Portugal and aren’t the churches so beautifully decorative as is the one you captured so well!

I think Lisbon is newer and therefore in many ways more attractive to explore. Yes, the more you visit an area, you avoid the tourist places.
