It would seem that Richard of York Gave Battle in Vain, well not quite in Winchester!
The printing medievalists it seems couldn’t resist adding a few extras to their colour palette, and some very expensive ones at that!
In close up we thought this display fantastic, and only wished it had been in a better setting as somehow it felt rather neglected in the north aisle.

It wasn’t until we got really close in person that we realised how amazing it was. I really don’t think the setting helped.
