Weather in southern Portugal in December

Nearly all of my shots a year ago today are of birds on the ground, and I was beginning to think I would need to cheat again. But then I spotted this, and whilst not a perfect sky view it certainly gets across how pleasantly mildΒ an Algarvian winter can be Jude!

  1. Purple Swamphens? Never heard of them! And I’m pretty sure we don’t get flamingos here either. It does look quite pleasant though, especially as my view today is quite limited by cloud. I shall go and link my bonus post to you now πŸ™‚
    Warning: you may need shades…

      1. Not too bad. I guess a lot of people book online shopping now. Might have to do a quick one tomorrow though as we forgot the tonic and bought a lovely local Christmassy gin the other day.

  2. I’m sure I’ve never seen a Purple Swamphen in my life! Do I look like the kind of person who goes wallowing in swamps? πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Building up to a big crescendo for Christmas Day, Becky? I’m appreciating the calm but I’m going to take my cuppa with me over to Debbie’s.

    1. Hee heee . . . how can you not have seen the Purple Swamphens? They often mingle with the golfers!! Hope your tea didn’t get too cold when you visited Debbie xx

    1. It is a lovely spot to sit and just be albeit does get busy with golfers!! Promise you it was warm, hopefully you can feel it now after that second cuppa πŸ˜‰

Loving your shot. Happily stand under that lamp and just watch the world go by even if it was cold.
