The herbaceous border at Kew is something rather special, we spent quite a while strolling up and down. It is something I have always wanted but have never got round to organising myself or the garden. Designing and planting a herbaceous border requires lots more time, energy and inspiration than I have had to date. One of these days though.

I know a man that designs… 🙂 🙂 He’s not very good at borders if ours are anything to go by, but don’t tell him! He’s fixated on curbs and corners at the minute. How boring is that?

If he saw our curb at the moment not sure he’d ever leave!! I’d be delighted though if you wanted to live in the south for a couple of weeks whilst a certain man re-designed my garden 🙂

Such fabulous planting! You do need deep borders to achieve this effect though. Today mine is from a local NT garden. Looks exotic though 🙂

Me too! There are so many plants that I love, I really need about 3 acres, but then I’d also need a team of gardeners to look after it.

We can imagine in our minds our 3 respective acres and herbaceous borders!

Heehee… yes! And don’t forget the walled garden and the huge orangery / conservatory.

Thank you Cee . . . I really didn’t want to leave the borders as they are so beautiful but my siblings were keen to move on!
