And I thought the best way to share my passion for Palácio da Bolsa in Porto, Portugal was via Thursday Doors as quite a few of the photographs that didn’t make it to my original Portuguese post were of the doors. I must have had Norm in mind for here! My door fest began at the doors of Pátio das Nações.
Now if you thought these was lovely just wait until the doors of Salão Árabe on the second floor of Palácio da Bolsa.
This was an incredible room, and so unexpected. To find out more about the building and for more photographs of this wonderful building then do visit my Portuguese post. But before you go here are just a couple of shots of some of the more ‘ordinary’ doors downstairs.
Awesome! The doors in the 1st photo were huge!

Thank you so much Norm. Such a stunning door . . . .I was snapping close ups non-stop. It was only when I got home that I realised I had totally failed to take a picture of the whole room!!

I’ll bet there was quite an echo in that room! Lovely doors!

Do you know I don’t think there was, but I agree now I look at that shot there certainly should have been! Or perhaps the guide had learnt how to speak in a way no echoes were created. I’m puzzled now!!

ahh . . . . . . well it is a metal dome with a glass roof and then granite and stone walls. Extraordinary space.
