Many of you will know about this ‘photo challenge’ on my other blog but just in case you were not aware I thought I’d drop a note here about ‘Past meets Present’.

On the 1st of every month dscn2197I invite you to join me in sharing photographs of modern day views with those of the past. This blogging event may be hosted on my Portuguese blog but your photographs don’t need to be of Portugal. I tend to source my ‘past’ photographs from old books, but your past shot could be one you took yourself maybe 5 or 10 years ago. You also don’t need to post yours on the 1st of the month, simply take part whenever it works for you.

So here’s the challenge page and here’s my latest response. Do let me know what you think and even better why not take part this month. There are only three rules:

  1. share at least one relatively recent shot of a view, a person or an event and at least one photograph of the same view but older!
  2. add the tag ‘Past meets Present’
  3. link back to my most recent post on my Portuguese blog
