One of the delights of Portugal is that I don’t feel short at 5ft2, had a similar experience in Hong Kong. Most places though I am decidedly shorter than average!

To find out more about the roundhouses in Mealha, visit my Algarvian blog.
And to discover other fabulous Six Word Saturdays pop across to Show My Face and say hi to the wonderful Cate.
I’m 5 foot even so that would be weird for me too. Neat though! I’ll have to check out your other blog.

I just love it when I have to duck or am the same height as everyone else but it so rarely happens!!

It is a stunning region and so much to explore if you like to get away from the beach.

Well, this shot thrilled my husband. He wants to sell our house and built us a yurt…oops…I think not. Love looking at these old structures, but let them stay old and of another era, please. I like my old roomy farmhouse. Love the picture and the 6 words. I’m very short, too.

I’m with you on this! No windows, no heating and having to duck to leave – not my ideal home. Apparently they were still used as homes as late as the early/mid 19th century.

Never saw anything about these roundhouses. Very cool. Thanks. You take pretty good photos for such a short person.

5’2″ wasn’t so bad. Now I’ve shrunk to 4’10” I can’t reach anything.
