This week Cee has inspired us with ‘anything that flies from birds to aeroplanes’. Well I couldn’t resist that given how many photographs I have taken of birds.

black-white-bannerThis was also my first attempt with post-processing. Usually the most I do is ‘crop’ but today was a chance to filter, play with light, shadows and contrasts. The Flamingoes I couldn’t resist keeping a bit of colour, and the gulls around the fisherman I got carried away with playing with the shadows and lights! The final shot of gulls feels like it is on canvas, amazing what a bit of post-processing can do. Thanks Cee for encouraging me to play.

  1. You do have a lot of photos of birds. My favorite is the first one too. The fisherman being bombarded by the birds is probably a daily occurrence and perhaps one he doesn’t relish.
