Constance Leathart is one of the many women whose achievements are either forgotten or put to one side. There are far too many examples of this happening – just look at how few statues there are of women. I’ve posted about this before, you can find out more here.

  1. We have a grand total of 3 statues to women in Glasgow. One of them is Queen Victoria and I bet most cities have her. Umpteen men, of course. Edinburgh used to have more statues of dogs than women but I think that might no longer be the case.
